Lita Ford’s raw and energetic show at the Whisky a Go Go 3/5/2023

Once again, a full crowd awaited Lita’s arrival on stage at The Whisky. A little over 10 pm Lita kicked off the show with an energetic starter, Gotta Let Go from her excellent Dancin’ on the Edge album. The gig was in her home hoods and it seemed to bring an extra gear to her performance and vibe as it did also when she was playing a one block away at the Rainbow’s Backyard Bash last September. Lita Ford was loud, raw, and relentless at The Whisky. She was on fire and so was her drummer, Bobby Rock who played an intensive drum solo before the last 5 songs of the show. Bobby was a tight drummer and a great performer in the 80’s when he played in Vinnie Vincent Invasion, and still is. He’s definitely a powerful factor in Lita’s live sound. Lita ended her setlist with the classic hit tunes, Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly.
